Caroline Wozniacki speaks about drug tests in tennis

Caroline Wozniacki spoke about drug tests in tennis. The Dane was asked about Maria Sharapova being banned for 15 months for taking Meldonium.

Wozniacki is very careful when it comes to this topic. "As an athlete, we always try to make sure that we never get in such situations," said Wozniacki.

On her first-round win over Lauren Davis, Wozniacki added: "Just trying to stay focused, take one ball at a time.

She's a good player, so I knew she just wasn't going to let it go easily."

Asked if she has extra pressure heading into Beijing as the defending champion, she said: "I think it's an honor to be here having won the title.

It's a great place to be. I'm just happy to be back on the court at the tournament where I won last year.

The former world No. 1 enjoyed playing at the Greenbrier Tennis Classic with Sharapova: “We had so much fun we went to do some bike rides this morning at the Greenbrier Trail which was beautiful.

It was a lot of fun to be apart of this and it was more of a fun environment and we can let loose a bit more which is always great.

I had a really good time and I love playing exhibitions because it gives us a chance to not only enjoy the tennis but to really meet people, meet the crowd, meet the fans and get to know everyone and just have a good time.

I think everyone saw that we really enjoyed it from the doubles to the singles to meeting all of the kids that attended this event."
