Agnieszka Radwanska to retire in Krakow in May, with some special guests

The 30-year-old Agnieszka Radwanska, a former world no. 2 and the winner of 20 WTA titles decided to retire last November after struggling with injuries, ending a successful career after 13 years on the Tour.
Known as one of the most persistent players in the world of women's tennis, Agnieszka was able to play on a high level on every surface and in many years in a row, reaching two semi-finals at the Australian Open and Wimbledon final in 2012.
In 2015 and 2016, Radwanska won six titles overall, including the WTA Finals, finishing in the top-10 in eight out of nine years between 2008-2016.
Plagued with injuries, the Pole started to slow down in 2017 and she was never the player she was before despite that win over Simona Halep in Miami last year, missing Roland Garros as the first Major after 47 in a row she had entered since Wimbledon 2006!
Agnieszka managed to leave that back injury behind for the grass season, advancing into the last four in Eastbourne and playing just five tournaments by the end of the season.
Struggling to find the form and dealing with more back problems, Agnieszka lost six of the last eight matches and the end of a career was inevitable, announcing it on November 14 and starting to enjoy other things outside the tennis world.
The crowd in Krakow will have the opportunity to see Agnieszka Radwanska on the court once again, announcing her official goodbye from tennis on May 21 at Tauron Arena in Krakow.
Her great friends Caroline Wozniacki and Angelique Kerber (both with Polish origins) will also be there to make it a special night for Agnieszka who will have the opportunity to play against them both, just like many times on the Tour in the last ten years or so.
