Novak Djokovic: Marin Cilic makes ‘different’ revelation as Serbian wants his revenge
NOVAK DJOKOVIC is out to get revenge against Marin Cilic in the Cincinnati Masters semi-finals this evening.
The pair will to go head-to-head at 7pm (BST) on Centre Court for a chance to face either Roger Federer or David Goffin in Sunday’s final.
The last time Djokovic played Cilic he lost in the Queen’s final last month - although that did not hamper his Wimbledon mentality as he went on to claim his 13th career Grand Slam honor.
But the former world No 1 has a chance to hit back at Cilic in Ohio - and the Croatian believes the situation is completely different this time around.
“For me, just preparation apart, I haven't played any matches on the centre court,” Cilic said while playing down his chances of winning.
“I feel and I heard that it's completely different. It's much faster.
“I hope I'm going to adjust quickly on that, and I feel it's going to play better for me than playing on outside courts.
“Definitely Novak is playing really well. I just watched the end of this match, and the level was definitely high and he's in definitely really good form.
“We played tough match in Queen's, but that's grass and definitely different. So I have to get ready and, you know, give full shot.”

Cilic is a very strong hard-court player and he is now looking to kick on in the final few months of the season.
“With experience I gained, I am feeling that I'm putting a little bit more effort than what I've been doing,” he added.
“One part is I'm enjoying the game, and the other part is I'm willing to improve as much as I can.
“So I'm trying to keep that 100 per cent level every single day.
“You know, it's also part of getting to know yourself, what to do on the court, what to do off-court, and as well everybody's playing great tennis and you have to be ready for everything to compete with the best guys.”
