Rafael Nadal: Late change made to Spanish star’s Wimbledon preparations
RAFAEL NADAL will face Matt Edben in a change of opponent at the Aspall Classic today.
Nadal will play two matches at the Hurlingham Club this week which will be his only warm-up games before the Wimbledon.
The French Open champion was due to play Australian Open semi-finalist Hyeon Chung but the South Korean has pulled out.
It means Edben, who reached the semi-finals at the Halle Open last week, will replace Chung. On Friday, Nadal is scheduled to face Frenchman Lucas Pouille.
“It’s always great to play in front of UK fans so I can’t wait to return,” said Nadal.
“I’m working hard and this is the perfect way to warm up for Wimbledon.”
Earlier today, Nadal was named as the second seed for Wimbledon despite being the current World No 1.

Williams’ ranking dropped after giving birth to her first child in September.
