British Tennis Star Laura Robson Safe but 'In Shock' After Las Vegas Shooting
British tennis star Laura Robson has revealed she was caught up in the Las Vegas attack which has left 50 people dead and more than 200 injured.
The 23-year-old tweeted pictures from the scene just moments before hundreds of rounds of gunfire rang out and later spoke of horrifying ordeal on Twitter.
After news broke of the mass shooting broke, a concerned follower tweeted her to ask if she was OK.
She responded: “I’m okay. We were right there … [It] sounded like fireworks at first then everyone started running. Scary s***.”
She later tweeted: “My friend who was deeper in the crowd has been helping people who were shot. We’re all in shock.”
Another Brit also spoke of his family’s panic as gunshots rang out in Las Vegas live on Good Morning Britain.
Eye-witness Andy Williamson was on the phone to Piers Morgan from the Bellagio Hotel while the shooting spree was still unfolding.
But he was forced to cut off the interview amid screaming and crying as the gunman’s onslaught continued.

The sound of gunfire can then be heard in the background.
He then says: “Oh s***, hold on. Hold on, sorry — I’m going to have to go. Everyone’s running, like mad.
“Sorry I have to go — I don’t know what is happening.
“Sorry, I’m going to have to leave — we’re being made to run out.”
Piers responded: “Yes, please make your way out as fast as possible.”
Meanwhile Susanna pleaded: ”Please stay safe.”

Over a period of at least a minute, at least four separate periods of sustained gunfire were heard as hundreds of rounds were unleashed into the crowd, which included children.
